Sevilla's Grzegorz Krychowiak: 'Manchester City were better'

Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak concedes that his side deserved to lose to Manchester City in their Champions League Group D clash on Tuesday.

Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak has admitted that his team deserved to lose to Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Premier League outfit recorded all three points at the Estadio Ramon with a 3-1 victory, and Krychowiak has conceded that the better team won on the night.

"There are things to improve. We didn't have the level of the Champions League for 90 minutes. The team has that level but today it wasn't shown. City were stronger and took the game," he told Sevilla's official website.

"We're sorry to have lost in front of our supporters. We thank them, because they are always with us."

The defeat has left Europa League winners Sevilla third in Group D, five points behind second-placed Juventus with just two group games remaining.
