Preview: Sheffield Wednesday vs. Birmingham City

Sports Mole previews Birmingham City's trip to Sheffield Wednesday as both sides look to build upon opening day's draws.

Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City both drew their respective matches of the new Championship season at the weekend.

Both sides will be heading into this encounter at Hillsborough full of confidence though, having claimed a point with late goals.

Hosting Wednesday could hand a debut to Spanish striker Rodri, who signed for the Owls on a loan basis from Spanish giants Barcelona earlier today.

Meanwhile, Nikola Zigic's heroics against Charlton Athletic on Saturday afternoon could see him a earn a recall to the starting lineup, with Peter Lovenkrands the likely candidate to drop down to the bench.

Sheffield Wednesday: Kirkland; Buxton, Llera, Gardner, R Johnson; Antonio, Semedo, McCabe, J Johnson, Rodri, O'Grady

Birmingham: Butland; Spector, Murphy, Caldwell, Davies; Burke, Mullins, Redmond, Ambrose; Zigic, King

Sports Mole says: 1-1
