Sheffield Wednesday sign striker Stevie May

St Johnstone striker Stevie May signs a four-year deal with Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.

Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed the signing of St Johnstone striker Stevie May for a fee of £800,000.

The 21-year-old had been linked with a move to a Championship club after rejecting St Johnstone's offer of a new contract.

May came through the ranks at the Saints, making his first-team debut at 16, and has six caps for Scotland Under-21s.

Last season he scored 27 goals for St Johnstone as they won the Scottish Cup and finished sixth in the Scottish Premier League.

May has signed a four-year contract with the Owls.
