Graham Turner: 'Shrewsbury Town are almost safe'

Graham Turner admits that barring a huge change in goal difference over the last games of the season his Shrewsbury Town side are safe from relegation.

Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner has admitted that it would take a miracle from Scunthorpe United for his side not to stay in League One this season.

Scunthorpe are the only side that can catch Shrewsbury now, but they are six points behind with a goal difference of -19 compared to Salop.

"With the way the results went on Tuesday it would have to be an absolute disaster for us to go down," Turner told the club's official website. "There would have to be a 19-goal change in goal difference.

"We're six points clear of Scunthorpe who have two games left and it's only goal difference now that can change it so we're almost home and dry."

The Shrews travel to Colchester United on Saturday afternoon.
