Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Slovakia could line up for Wednesday's Euro 2020 clash with Sweden.

After a surprise opening victory against Poland put Slovakia within touching distance of the last 16, a repeat against Sweden would certainly seal progress on Friday.

To undertake that task, head coach Stefan Tarkovic should have an almost fully fit squad to select from, including veteran skipper Marek Hamsik - set to earn his 128th international cap - and impressive Inter centre-back Milan Skriniar, who kept Robert Lewandowski quiet last time out before firing in the winning goal.

Only defender Denis Vavro - as well as one staff member - is definitely ruled out, as he tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week and must therefore self-isolate to avoid spreading infection.

The Falcons return to St Petersburg's Krestovsky Stadium as Group E leaders, so will be under no significant pressure to take the game to the Swedes, and may therefore retain a 'false nine' to add flexibility and depth to midfield.

In the absence of a conventional centre-forward, then, former Norwich City forward Ondrej Duda will most probably start as the man closest to goal, as Slavia Prague forward Ivan Schranz - a starter in the pre-tournament friendlies - could be set to be miss out again after struggling to recover from a thigh injury sustained earlier this month.

Having been to the fore in Slovakia's counter-attacking efforts versus Poland, wide men Robert Mak and Lukas Haraslin are poised to start in support of Duda once more.

Meanwhile, on the bench, young Feyenoord frontman Robert Bozenik may be introduced later on if goals are required, while 19-year-old midfielder Tomas Suslov - also based in the Eredivisie, with Groningen - will hope for another chance to impress.

Midfielders Laszlo Benes, of Borussia Monchengladbach, and Stanislav Lobotka - rarely used by Napoli last term - remained on the sidelines on Monday, but could contend for minutes in this second outing of an intensely-paced tournament.

Slovakia possible starting lineup: Dubravka; Pekarik, Satka, Skriniar, Hubocan; Kucka, Benes; Haraslin, Hamsik, Mak; Duda
