Shane Long "on the mend"

Shane Long posts a positive update on Twitter after suffering a broken rib during Southampton's FA Cup clash against Crystal Palace.

Southampton striker Shane Long has revealed that he is "on the mend" from a broken rib.

The 28-year-old sustained the injury, which is likely to sideline him for a number of weeks, during his side's 3-2 FA Cup defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
