Southampton fans are planning to protest against the dismissal of manager Nigel Adkins during tonight's Premier League clash against Everton.
The Liverpool-born boss was sacked by the club last Friday and immediately replaced by former Espanyol coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Disgruntled supporters will express their unhappiness by waving white handkerchiefs throughout Pochettino's debut at St Mary's.
"It seems an appropriate way to protest at [chairman] Nicola Cortese's ruthless treatment of Nigel Adkins," Goal.com quotes Southampton Independent Supporters' Association member Perry McMillan as saying.
"As this match is live on TV and will be seen throughout Europe, it's a great opportunity to show how we feel."
Pochettino has arrived at Southampton after getting sacked from La Liga outfit Espanyol in November.
