Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has praised his side for coming back strongly after their midweek Europa League exit to secure a 3-0 win against Norwich City in Sunday's Premier League clash at St Mary's.
The Saints lost 1-0 away at FC Midtjylland on Thursday, which meant a 2-1 defeat on aggregate and a premature end to their European ambitions.
There was no hangover from the setback, however, as Graziano Pelle's opener and Dusan Tadic's brace saw the hosts clinch their first win of the season.
Koeman told BBC Sport: "Last Thursday was a big disappointment and it's always hard to start well, but we played very well at the beginning.
"The goal before half time broke the game open, and I'm very happy about how we played in the second half - there was lots of pressing and we created some great chances."
The result sees Southampton climb to 10th in the Premier League table.
