Jay Rodriguez: 'Pablo Osvaldo incident not affected team spirit'

Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez insists that the team spirit has not been affected following the training ground bust-up between Pablo Osvaldo and Jose Fonte

Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez has insisted that the team spirit has not dampened following the training ground bust-up between Pablo Osvaldo and Jose Fonte.

Osvaldo was suspended for two weeks after instigating a fight with Fonte, who ended up with a black eye.

"We've always been calm," Rodriguez told talkSPORT. "We've always stuck together.

"The team spirit at the club is the best, we don't let anything affect us. We're very professional."

Following the incident, Osvaldo joined Juventus on loan until the end of the season.
