Team News: Tom Heaton starts for Burnley

Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton is passed fit to start for his side during their Premier League clash with Southampton at St Mary's.

Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton has passed a late fitness test to start for his side during their Premier League clash with Southampton at St Mary's this afternoon.

The shot-stopper was forced to pull out of the England squad during the recent international break due to a calf injury, and was subsequently a doubt for this weekend's match.

However, he has recovered in time to start in an unchanged Burnley side as they look for their first away points of the season.

That means that Sam Vokes once again leads the line, with Andre Gray serving the third of his four-match ban.

Southampton, meanwhile, make three changes to their starting XI as Jordy Clasie, Cuco Martina and Matt Targett come into the side.

Ryan Bertrand and Cedric Soares both miss out through injury, while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg drops to the bench alongside Shane Long and Jay Rodriguez, both of whom could make their returns from injury as substitutes.

Southampton: Forster; Martina, Van Dijk, Fonte, Targett; Clasie, Romeu, Davis, Tadic; Austin, Redmond
Subs: McCarthy, Yoshida, Long, Rodriguez, Ward-Prowse, Hojbjerg, McQueens

Burnley: Heaton; Lowton, Keane, Mee, Ward; Boyd, Defour, Hendrick, Marney, Gudmundsson; Vokes
Subs: Flanagan, Kightly, O'Neill, Bamford, Robinson, Tarkowski, Arfield
