Portuguese defender Cedric Soares may reportedly be offered a route out of Southampton by Ligue 1 side Monaco.

Southampton full-back Cedric Soares is on Monaco's list of transfer targets, according to a report.

The Ligue 1 side have already missed out on a few other players this summer and are running out of time to strengthen their squad.

Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Ivan Perisic has emerged as a surprise possible option for the Red and Whites, while Soares is also on their radar.

Leonardo Jardim, who returned to Stade Louis II in January following Thierry Henry's short-lived tenure, is said to be a big fan of the Portugal international.

Soares fell out of favour at St Mary's Stadium last season and spent the second half of the campaign on loan with Inter Milan, where he made five appearances.
