Southampton want Javier Hernandez in Luke Shaw sale to Manchester United?

Southampton reportedly want Javier Hernandez to be included in a deal that will send Luke Shaw to Manchester United.

Southampton have reportedly told Manchester United that they want Javier Hernandez included in a swap deal with left-back Luke Shaw.

The former Premier League champions are said to have lodged a £27m bid for Shaw, but reports have claimed that the Saints are holding out for an additional £3m.

According to The Express, during negotiations Southampton have demanded that Hernandez be sent to St Mary's as part of the deal.

The Mexican forward has previously expressed uncertainty over his United future after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Following the departure of Rickie Lambert to Liverpool, Southampton are keen to strengthen their attacking options, but Hernandez is said to have also attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Inter Milan.
