Southampton are reportedly prepared to sell Fraser Forster during the current transfer window, despite only handing the goalkeeper a five-year deal last summer.
Forster lost his place in the starting lineup to Alex McCarthy last season, failing to play a single game in any competition between Boxing Day and the end of the campaign.
Having handed McCarthy a long-term deal of his own on Wednesday, on top of rumoured interest in Manchester City stopper Angus Gunn, Southampton will now look to offload Forster.
Sky Sports News claims that the England international, who had played 76 consecutive Premier League games prior to being dropped, is now effectively surplus to requirements at St Mary's Stadium.
Forster has kept 37 clean sheets in 106 top-flight appearances, four of which came in 20 outings during the first half of 2017-18.
