Southampton have reportedly rejected an approach from Doncaster Rovers for the signing of striker Billy Sharp.
The 27-year-old's position at St Mary's has been in doubt following his season-long loan stint at Nottingham Forest during the 2012-13 campaign.
Doncaster, who allowed Sharp to join Southampton last summer, have had a loan attempt for their former striker turned down, according to the Daily Star.
Championship side Reading were also linked with the forward.
