Southampton reject Jose Fonte bid?

Southampton reportedly reject a bid from Cardiff City for defender Jose Fonte.

Southampton have reportedly rejected a bid from Cardiff City for defender Jose Fonte.

The centre-back joined the Saints from Crystal Palace for a fee believed to be in the region of £800,000 in 2010.

According to Sky Sports News, the Bluebirds, who were relegated from the Premier League after one season in the top flight, are keen to sign the 30-year-old but have had an undisclosed bid for him turned down.

Southampton are also believed to have rejected a bid for Fonte's defensive partner Dejan Lovren from Liverpool earlier this week.
