Southampton are said to have turned down loan offers for Charlie Austin from four different Premier League clubs in the final hours of the transfer window.
The 29-year-old has been with the south coast side for three years but will be allowed to leave this month after falling out of favour with new Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.
According to Sky Sports News, the club have turned down every approach for the forward and have made it clear that they will only entertain offers to take him on a permanent basis.
Cardiff City, Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers are among the Premier League sides to have been credited with an interest in Austin, while Aston Villa, Stoke City and Galatasaray have also been linked.
Austin, who has 18 months remaining on his current Southampton contract, has notched up 16 goals in 59 Premier League appearances for the side to date.
