Tottenham Hotspur's Mauricio Pochettino "not disappointed" with Leverkusen draw

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino insists that he is "not disappointed" after his team recorded a goalless draw with Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that he is "not disappointed" after his team picked up just one point in their Champions League match against Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.

The North London outfit squandered a handful of chances in the first half, but they managed to survive a second-half onslaught from the hosts to record a goalless draw in Group E.

Spurs currently sit second in the standings, one point behind Monaco after playing three games.

"I am not disappointed. After the game, I think it is a good point for us," Pochettino told BT Sport. "It was a very tough game. In the first half we deserved more and in the second they got better, I am pleased with the point.

"In the second half I think they played better than us and started to dominate the game. We need to be positive - it is in our hands to go through to the next round. It will be a big test for us in the next game."

In their next group fixture on November 2, Tottenham will host AS Monaco, who claimed a 2-1 win over the Premier League outfit in their opening group match in September.
