Burnley fight back to hold Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley will need a replay to decide which club reaches the next round of the FA Cup, after a 1-1 draw in their third-round tie.

Burnley came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in their FA Cup third-round tie to set up a replay at White Hart Lane.

The first half was a largely forgettable affair, with both teams failing to record a shot on goal.

Spurs began the second half on the front foot, and substitute Harry Kane cut inside from the left before drilling a strike just wide.

The hosts then had their first effort on goal of the evening, with Danny Ings firing straight at Michel Vorm.

In the 56th minute it was the visitors who opened the scoring, as Nacer Chadli turned in a cross from Ben Davies.

Michael Keane headed wide and Dean Marney fired a strike over the bar as Burnley pressed for an equaliser.

They were able to level the scores in the 72nd minute, as Michael Kightly's cross from the byline was steered in by Sam Vokes.

Both teams pushed for a winner, but they were unable to find another goal and a replay will be needed to decide who faces Leicester City in the fourth round of the Cup.
