Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen not ready for trip to Sunderland

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino confirms that Christian Eriksen is not yet fit for this weekend's match against Sunderland.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Christian Eriksen is "not fit" for Sunday's trip to face Sunderland in the Premier League.

The Dane has been suffering with an ankle injury for over a fortnight, and has not featured since Spurs' 2-2 draw against Stoke City.

In today's press conference, Pochettino claimed that Eriksen is "close" to full fitness, but not ready for this weekend, while Mousa Dembele is a doubt for the match.

Spurs are yet to win a league game this season following one defeat and three draws.
