Steve Bruce: 'We deserved a point'

Hull City boss Steve Bruce feels that his team deserved a draw against Tottenham Hotspur, but says the penalty given against them was a "joke".

Hull City manager Steve Bruce feels that his team were worthy of a point in their 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Tigers were holding their opponents but lost the match when Roberto Soldado converted a late penalty.

"I feel for the team and the supporters, to be denied the point that we deserved," Bruce told BBC Sport.

However, Bruce did criticise the awarding of the penalty, calling it a "joke".

He added: "It's a joke decision, we've got men in there that have been robbed. They are desperate to play in the Premier League but they are questioning it because of a joke decision. He couldn't wait to give it.

"I shouldn't say this and I might get fined, but would we have got it? I'm not so sure."

Hull sit 10th in the league after nine matches.
