Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele has revealed that missing out on the Champions League this year should spur his side on to improve next season.
Andre Villas-Boas's team finished fifth in the Premier League, just one point behind rivals Arsenal in fourth place as they missed out on the chance to play in European football's top competition.
Dembele told the club's official website: "Next season, we have to be better again. Okay, we're disappointed we're not going to play in the Champions League, everyone knows we have the quality.
"But we have to be positive and that points record is something to be positive about.I'm also positive about my first season at Spurs and next season, we have to be better again."
Tottenham finished their season on a high note as they beat Sunderland 1-0 at White Hart Lane.
