Clint Dempsey says that Tottenham Hotspur deserved to draw against Manchester United on Sunday, and that they must maintain their good form going into their next three matches.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Clint Dempsey wants to maintain his side's good form by getting results from their next three fixtures.

Spurs are on the road for their next trio of matches, starting with a trip to Leeds United in the FA Cup, before facing Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion in back-to-back Premier League games.

The American scored a last-gasp equaliser at White Hart Lane on Sunday to draw 1-1 with Manchester United, and the 29-year-old believes that the North London outfit deserved a point.

"It is always good to get four points against United in a season," said Dempsey. "It's nice to get the point tonight when we were looking at a defeat, but their goalkeeper [David De Gea] made some great saves in the first half.

"We take a lot of confidence from this point because we had a lot of possession, a good number of chances that we created and shots on goal.

"It keeps us on a good run of form with three tough games coming up. We have three away fixtures and it's about getting the right results in those matches."

The goal was Dempsey's seventh in all competitions for Spurs this season.
