A West Ham United fan is left in a 'stable condition' after being stabbed in the abdomen before the club's away fixture against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

A West Ham United fan has been left in a 'stable condition' in hospital after being stabbed in the abdomen prior to the club's away clash with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League

Several reports, including one from The Telegraph, have stated that a blade has been recovered close to the scene of the stabbing between Tottenham High Road and White Hart Lane.

Following the conclusion of the fixture in North London, Sky Sports News have subsequently reported via Twitter that the 35-year-old man is now in a stable condition:

The contest saw Spurs complete a 4-1 victory over their London rivals to move into fifth spot in the league standings.
