Slaven Bilic: 'We were not good enough'

Slaven Bilic admits that West Ham United could have no complaints after losing 4-1 to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Slaven Bilic has refused to make any excuses for his side's performance in the 4-1 defeat to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs continued their unbeaten run in the league in comfortable fashion to move three points clear of the Hammers, and Bilic admitted that his players could have no complaints after a below-par display at White Hart Lane.

"The performance matches the result. They were better than us," Bilic, whose side currently occupy sixth spot, told reporters.

"We just couldn't produce on the pitch. They were more a team. They were physically quicker and stronger and better in transitions. We played a really bad game but they played a really good game and we have to give some credit for this.

"They wanted it more today than in a normal game, but we simply were not good enough to get anything out of that game."

The loss means just two points separate West Ham from Stoke City, who are 11th in the table.
