Eric Dier: 'I'm enjoying my position in Tottenham Hotspur midfield'

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Eric Dier hints that he would like to continue progressing with his development at the heart of the club's midfield.

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Eric Dier has suggested that he would like to maintain his position in the heart of the club's midfield after another promising showing against West Ham United.

Dier has proven to be instrumental in a number of recent games for Spurs, and he was again at the centre of Tottenham's engine room as they dismantled rivals West Ham 4-1 in the Premier League on Sunday.

"Hopefully I've adapted to this new position," said Dier, according to Sky Sports News.

"Hopefully I can keep playing well, the team can keep playing well and Harry can keep scoring goals. I'm happy there but it's up to the manager. If he said to play anywhere else then I would.

"We are going game by game. We're not getting excited. We know that if we can perform like we did today we'll get wins and will be pushing right up to the top, so we'll just keep on doing that."

Spurs now hold fifth spot in the league standings, having notched 24 points from 13 games so far this season.
