Brad Friedel praises Tim Krul display

Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel praises opposite number Tim Krul for his match-winning display during Newcastle United's victory over Spurs on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brad Friedel has praised his opposite number Tim Krul for his match-winning display during Newcastle United's victory at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

The Dutch shot-stopper pulled off a total of 14 saves as the Magpies recorded a surprise 1-0 triumph in the Premier League encounter.

"In the second half there were consequences of balls just hitting him or him making great saves, and it's a day that he'll remember I'm sure," Sky Sports News quotes Friedel as saying.

"As a goalkeeper we've all had them. He's had one here so he is going to go home feeling a million dollars, that's for sure."

Spurs return to Premier League action on November 23 when they face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
