Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp reportedly decides that he will take the managerial role with England if the FA make an approach.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been informed that manager Harry Redknapp has decided to leave White Hart Lane and become the new England boss.

The former Portsmouth coach has been the overwhelming favourite to nab the permanent vacancy with the Three Lions following Fabio Capello's resignation last month.

While the 65-year-old has believed to be undecided over his future, reports have claimed that Redknapp will accept the national team role and take England to the Euros if the Football Association come calling.

"Everyone at the training ground knows that Harry has decided he will take the England job if the FA come calling," Goal.com quotes a club source as saying.

"At first, especially after the trial, he was very torn, but he's decided it's an opportunity he wouldn't be able to turn down. It's his dream job."

While Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly prepared to offer Redknapp a new lucrative deal, it is thought that Levy has targeted Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho as a possible replacement.
