Harry Redknapp dismisses suggestions that the speculation surrounding the England job is having a negative effect on his Spurs players.

Harry Redknapp has dismissed suggestions that the speculation surrounding the England job is having a negative effect on his Tottenham Hotspur players.

Spurs suffered their third consecutive Premier League defeat on Saturday at the hands of Everton, following losses to Arsenal and Manchester United.

When asked if the players were affected by the speculation, Redknapp said: "That's absolute rubbish. You saw the effort against Everton. How can it destabilise the team when they come out and play like they did?

"They ain't gone 'the manager is leaving we ain't bothered any more.'

"We've had three very, very difficult games. Man United at home and Arsenal and Everton away."

Tottenham are currently third in the Premier League, 14 points off leaders Manchester United.
