Everton manager David Moyes has admitted that his side were lucky to claim all three points against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Moyes watched on as Nikica Jelavic scored his first goal for the club to give the Toffees a 1-0 win over Spurs, a result which Harry Redknapp struggled to get his head around.
Moyes, however, was delighted with the three points and expressed his desire to continue challenging the big teams ahead of Tuesday's Merseyside derby.
"It's a hard week for us but it's the sort of games I want to be involved in," said the Scot.
"I have always hoped when I came here that we would be able to challenge with the big teams.
"We were a bit lucky but we got three points."
Moyes will celebrate his tenth year in charge of Everton on Wednesday.
