Andros Townsend wants to impress his parent club Tottenham Hotspur during his loan spell at Queens Park Rangers.

Andros Townsend has admitted that he is keen to catch the eye of Tottenham Hotspur coach Andre Villas-Boas during his loan stint with Queens Park Rangers.

Having struggled to force his way into Villas-Boas's plans on a regular basis, the England youth international joined the R's until the end of the season from London rivals Spurs in January.

Following his first Premier League goal during Saturday's 3-1 win over Sunderland at Loftus Road, the 21-year-old has expressed his determination to prove his worth to his parent club.

"Obviously I have belief in my own ability but this is my chance now to show people at Spurs, here and around the Premier League that I am good enough," he told the Fulham Chronicle. "Hopefully I can take the opportunities when they come and show people what I can do.

"I've spoken to Tim Sherwood a few times and Les Ferdinand has been down to a few games. They're keeping tabs on me and hopefully they are pleased with what they see."

The attacking midfielder joined Spurs as a trainee in 2000.
