West Bromwich Albion go cold on Thomas Schaaf, Dave Jones?

Reports suggest that West Bromwich Albion are no longer considering Thomas Schaaf or Dave Jones for the managerial vacancy at The Hawthorns.

Thomas Schaaf and Dave Jones have been ruled out of the race to succeed Steve Clarke at West Bromwich Albion, according to the Birmingham Mail.

The Baggies are said to have narrowed their choice down to former Valencia and Atletico Madrid manager Quique Flores and another unnamed candidate.

Flores, 48, is currently coaching Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates, just under three years since leaving the Vicente Calderon, where he won Europa League honours in 2010.

Schaaf was reported to be favourite to take over from Clarke, who was sacked in December after taking 15 points from 16 games.
