Former Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones has emerged as a strong contender for the vacant head coach role at West Bromwich Albion.
The Premier League outfit, who have appointed Keith Downing as caretaker boss, are in the hunt for a permanent leader following the dismissal of Steve Clarke in November.
While Pepe Mel was initially a frontrunner for the position before being pulled out of the running, it appears that Jones is in contention after his odds on Skybet were slashed to 4/1.
Jones is currently out of work after getting sacked by Sheffield Wednesday on December 1 after leading them to just one victory in the Championship at that time of the season.
