Fulham manager Scott Parker emerges as a leading candidate to become Tottenham Hotspur's new head coach, according to a report.

Fulham manager Scott Parker has reportedly emerged as a leading candidate to become Tottenham Hotspur's new permanent head coach.

Spurs are searching for a replacement for Jose Mourinho, and a number of managers, including Leicester City's Brendan Rodgers and Ajax's Erik ten Hag, have been linked with the position.

A recent report claimed that former Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri was also being considered by senior figures at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, according to Football Insider, there is also genuine interest in Parker, who has impressed Spurs chairman Daniel Levy with his work at Craven Cottage.

The report claims that the 40-year-old, who represented Tottenham as a player between 2011 and 2013, 'has plenty of admirers' at the North London club.

Fulham are facing relegation back to the Championship for the 2021-22 campaign, with the capital side currently 18th in the Premier League table, nine points from the safety of 17th spot.
