Live Commentary: Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 West Ham United - as it happened

Relive West Ham United's 1-0 win over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur as Michail Antonio's goal ends Spurs' perfect start to life at their new stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur's perfect start to life at their new stadium came to an end this afternoon as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of London rivals West Ham United.

Having won four out of four without conceding prior to today's derby, Spurs were stunned as Michail Antonio's goal gave the Hammers their first away win in any competition this calendar year.

Spurs remain in control of a top-four spot regardless of the defeat, but could have secured Champions League football with two games to spare had they won and other results also gone their way on Sunday.

Find out how all of the action unfolded courtesy of Sports Mole's minute-by-minute updates below.

Good afternoon! Thank you very much for joining Sports Mole for today's early Premier League kickoff as Tottenham Hotspur host West Ham United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium!

This is always a special fixture between two clubs who really do not like each other, and for Spurs it could be pivotal for their top-four chances too with victory putting them on the brink of Champions League qualification once again next season. West Ham make the trip up to North London in poor form, but there is nothing like a derby against Spurs to fire them up and turn that around.

Kickoff is in five minutes' time, so let's have a quick look at the team news before we get started...

TOTTENHAM STARTING XI: Lloris; Alderweireld, Sanchez, Foyth; Rose, Dier, Alli, Davies; Eriksen; Son, Lucas

SUBS: Wanyama, Skipp, Trippier, Janssen, Llorente, Walker-Peters, Gazzaniga

WEST HAM STARTING XI: Fabianski; Fredericks, Balbuena, Diop, Masuaku; Noble, Rice, Snodgrass; Antonio, Arnautovic, Anderson

SUBS: Ogbonna, Zabaleta, Wilshere, Hernandez, Perez, Adrian, Obiang

KICKOFF:  Here we go! Spurs get us underway for this London derby!

SHOT!  Quick start from West Ham as first Anderson turns Foyth inside out before dropping it back to Snodgrass, whose shot is blocked. The loose ball goes out to Rice, who thumps a well-struck powerful effort over the bar from 30 yards.

West Ham are in poor form, particularly away from home, but they have started brightly here - as you would expect in what is arguably the fixture they look forward to most every season.

Both teams are looking to get on the front foot whenever possible in these opening exchanges, but no work for either keeper to do so far with that long-range Rice effort the only shot.

Almost a lovely move as Alli gives it to Son, who flicks it to Eriksen. The Dane then tries to thread his pass back to Alii down the left flank, but he puts it too close to the last defender.

Masuaku gifts the ball to Alli with a poor clearance, but Lucas is in his way and so he cannot go for goal. He instead tries to pick a pass into the box, but it is cut out.

CHANCE!  First big chance for Spurs as Son races on to a through-ball and tries to slide his finish under Fabianski at the near post, but the West Ham keeper is down smartly to make the save.

The space is starting to arrive for Spurs now! This time Alli is released down the left and he cuts inside before going for goal, but his effort is blocked before it can trouble Fabianski.

Spurs are beginning to gain a greater degree of control over this game as they see more of the ball and keep West Ham pinned back.

Danny Rose does well to win the ball back in midfield and then he tries to send an early cross into the box, but he gets that all wrong and fires it straight out for a goal kick.

SAVE!  Fredericks tries his luck from range with a low 25-yard strike which is heading wide, but Lloris feels as though he needs to make sure and tips it behind for a corner.

CHANCE!  Anderson looks like the dangerman for West Ham today! He drives forward down the left and Foyth cannot get back at him, but then he tries to open his body and go for goal himself when he might have been better picking out a pass into the middle. In the end his effort is tame and easy for Lloris to gather.

It hasn't quite been the blood-and-thunder type game we can usually see in this fixture - indeed it has all been quite mild-mannered so far. Still plenty of time for that to change, though!

SHOT!  Antonio cuts inside onto his left foot and gets his shot away, but it is always rising and flies well off target.

Good work from Spurs at the other end as Son exchanges a neat one-two with Moura before going for goal, but his effort deflects behind for a corner.

CLOSE!  The hosts are a whisker away from taking the lead as Sanchez feeds the ball into the feet of Lucas, who turns and then quickly gets a shot away which zips just past the far post.

YELLOW CARD!  Here is the game's first heavy challenge and card as Snodgrass scythes down Lucas.

Lucas tries to lift a pass over the top for Eriksen and almost gets it right on the money, but Diop gets a crucial touch to it to knock it back to Fabianski.

Half an hour gone in this one now and it continues to teeter in the balance. Spurs have just about edged things, but West Ham have held their own so far.

This is not shaping up to be an easy game for Spurs just a few days before their Champions League semi-final first leg, but then they would not have expected it to be either. West Ham are never going to give Spurs a let-up in this fixture.

Antonio wriggles clear of his marker before trying to release Anderson, but he puts too much on the pass and it runs through to Lloris.

Good work from Noble this time as he spins away before clipping a pass to Antonio, but Sanchez makes an important challenge on the West Ham man to prevent him from getting space to shoot.

CHANCE!  Big chance for Spurs to take the lead as West Ham fail to clear their lines inside their own box and the ball rebounds kindly for Eriksen. The angle is against the Dane, but Fabianski is nonetheless out quickly to make a really good save.

Fabianski is again out to thwart Spurs from a tight angle - this time denying Son after he had been slipped in by Foyth - but the linesman's flag is up.

Really good defending from Davies as he makes a sliding challenge while going towards his own goal to deal with a dangerous cross into the box.

It is West Ham applying the pressure towards the end of this first half and Lloris is called into action to punch a devilish Masuaku cross clear.

Now Spurs respond with a period of their own pressure and suddenly it is West Ham who are the team trying to hang on until the interval.

SHOT!  Foyth picks up a loose ball inside the West Ham half and goes for goal from range, but his low drive is a few yards wide of the far post.

SAVE!  West Ham now come close as Anderson's drive hits Alderweireld on the way through, forcing Lloris to quickly change direction and gather. He was lucky it was still central, otherwise he could have been in trouble there!

HALF TIME:  TOTTENHAM 0-0 WEST HAM

A goalless first half comes to an end in North London, then, with Spurs and West Ham relatively evenly matched in that opening 45 minutes. Spurs have had the better chances and have just edged things in terms of general play too, but West Ham have more than held their own and are very much in this game. An intriguing 45 minutes awaits!

The best chance of that first half arguably fell to Son, who scampered in down the left channel but could not squeeze his low finish underneath Fabianski at the near post as the West Ham keeper got down well to make the save. Eriksen has also been thwarted by Fabianski from inside the area, and Lucas has drilled a low strike narrowly wide of the far post too.

West Ham have had sights of goal themselves too, including one after only two minutes when Rice thumped a long-range strike over the bar. Anderson and Fredericks have drawn saves from Lloris as well, but the Spurs skipper has not had anything too pressing to do so far despite West Ham playing relatively well in general.

Spurs may need to show a little more urgency in the second half as they chase the win which will take them to the brink of a top-four finish, and the onus is certainly on them more than it is West Ham. The visitors will be buoyed by that opening 45 minutes, though, and will feel that there is something in this game for them.

KICKOFF:  West Ham get us back underway for the second half!

CHANCE!  Very important block to deny West Ham an early chance here! Noble release Arnautovic, who in turn drops the ball back for Fredericks to run on to. The full-back goes for goal, but his effort is deflected behind for a corner before it can trouble the keeper.

Now Arnautovic goes for goal himself but sees his effort also deflect behind for a corner. I don't think I mentioned Arnautovic once in that first half, but he has already contributed more in this second half than he did the whole of the opening 45 minutes.

SAVE!  Again Arnautovic is involved, and this would have been a stunning goal as he takes Fabianski's long pass down brilliantly, escaping his marker in the process. He then goes for goal from range, but the finish does not match what came before it and Lloris gathers comfortably.

Chance for West Ham to whip the ball into the box here as they win a free kick in a good crossing position...

Spurs do not deal with the danger very well and the ball almost drops kindly for a player in Claret and Blue, but the hosts do eventually hack it clear.

Slick football from Spurs as Son finds Alli, who dribbles into the box but only has a cross on his mind when he might have been better off shooting. He tries to clip a cross to the back post, but it is dealt with before it reaches Rose.

Alli again carries the ball into the area but this time has his window for a shot closed down by Diop, who forces him wide before stealing the ball and clearing his lines.

PENALTY APPEAL!  Spurs are ramping up the pressure now and they want a penalty here as the ball breaks to Son after good work from Davies. The Korean tries to cut back inside Masuaku before going down, but Anthony Taylor immediately says no. There was contact, but it would have been very soft.

Spurs are just beginning to warm to the game again now, and it is one-way traffic in their favour at the moment. West Ham cannot get out, and now they have a free kick in a dangerous position to contend with...

Eriksen, of course, goes for goal, but puts his effort straight into the wall. West Ham immediately break and Antonio keeps hold of the ball for too long, but it then breaks kindly for Anderson who is thwarted by a fine last-ditch Lucas challenge on the edge of the box.

We haven't had any goals, not a great deal of chances and not much of the usual fire we see from this fixture, but it has still been an absorbing contest today. It is being played at a really good pace now and both sides continue to look dangerous.

Pressure from West Ham now as they probe for a way through in and around the box, but ultimately come up with nothing. There is something in this game for the visitors, though.

TOTTENHAM SUB: A first change for the hosts as Fernando Llorente replaces Lucas.

GOAL!  TOTTENHAM 0-1 WEST HAM (MICHAIL ANTONIO)

GOAL!  I said there was something in this game for West Ham, and it could well be all three points! It is a brilliant goal from the visitors as Arnautovic clips a beauty of a cross into the box, weighting it perfectly to beat the defender and pick out Antonio. The West Ham man still has it all to do, though, and he chests it down before firing his volleyed finish past Lloris.

It is a slice of history for West Ham, and one I am sure they will relish as they become the first team to score against Spurs at their new home. Spurs need a response in the final 20 minutes if they are to maintain their 100% record at least.

...and here is that historic moment! Arnautovic has been like a different player in this second half.

Spurs have generally been much better in the second halves of matches this calendar year, and they need to summon some of that resolve now too. They are still in control of the top-four race, but this would nonetheless be a blow to their chances.

Superb defending from Fredericks as he tracks Davies all the way and makes a crucial last-ditch challenge to deny the Spurs man a really good chance following Alli's pass.

It looks like Spurs are about to call on the cavalry... aka Vincent Janssen. Slim pickings for Spurs on that bench in terms of attacking options!

TOTTENHAM SUB: Indeed, there is the change as Janssen replaces Rose.

WEST HAM SUB: The visitors also make a change as Pedro Obiang comes on in place of Snodgrass.

SAVE!  Arnautovic almost puts this game to bed with a curling effort which for a moment looks destined for the far corner, until Lloris gets across to make the save.

WEST HAM SUB: Another switch for the Hammers as Arnautovic goes off and Lucas Perez comes on - a former Arsenal man, of course.

CHANCE!  Antonio almost does it again as Masuaku pings a long ball forward which the goalscorer races on to. He has the pace on Davies and gets to the ball first before drilling another volleyed effort towards the near post this time, but Lloris is there to turn it behind for a corner.

Just seven minutes remaining in this match now and still Spurs are struggling to create much, with West Ham continuing to push men forward despite their lead. I suspect that will not last too much longer, though.

Alli tries to float a cross into the box which Llorente is interested in, but he cannot reach it at the back post.

TOTTENHAM SUB: A final change for the hosts here as Victor Wanyama replaces Alli.

WEST HAM SUB: The Hammers also make their third change as Angelo Ogbonna replaces Noble.

CHANCE!  What a goal this would have been! Diop - of all people - collects the ball midway inside his own half before striding forward and suddenly finding himself clean through on goal. By the end of such a run he is out of energy, though, and his finish is tame as Lloris tips it behind for a corner.

Just two minutes remaining in this match now and time is really running out for Spurs! West Ham are holding out and definitely deserve something from this game.

There will be four minutes of added time at the end of this match! Can Spurs find something?

SAVE!  Almost a chance for Janssen to make himself the unlikely hero as the ball breaks to him, but he does not catch his effort right and it is easy for Fabianski to gather.

OFF THE LINE!  Janssen is so nearly the hero after all! A cross arrives from the right flank and Janssen plants a downwards header towards goal, but Balbuena is there to clear it off the line!

OFF THE LINE!  Janssen is so nearly the hero after all! A cross arrives from the right flank and Janssen plants a downwards header towards goal, but Balbuena is there to clear it off the line!

FULL TIME:  TOTTENHAM 0-1 WEST HAM

What a result for West Ham, and one not many people would have seen coming! The Hammers become the first team to win, score and take points off Spurs at their new stadium as Michail Antonio gets the only goal of the game, denting their greatest top-flight rivals' Champions League hopes in the process. Remarkably, it is also their first away win of 2019 in any competition, and what a time to get it.

Right, that is all we have time for this afternoon! Thank you very much for joining Sports Mole for today's early Premier League kickoff as West Ham end their away woes with a shock derby victory over Tottenham Hotspur. I will leave you with our match report, and be sure to stick around for reaction too. From me, though, it is goodbye for now!
