Tottenham Hotspur defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto's days at White Hart Lane are numbered as manager Andre Villas-Boas is on the lookout for a new left-back, according to a report.
The Spurs boss is planning to replace the Cameroon international at the end of the season and could opt to start Danny Rose in his place when he returns from his loan spell at Sunderland, reports The Mirror.
Villas-Boas's scouts have been keeping tabs on the England Under-21 international during his time at the Stadium of Light and feel that he could be ready for first-team action at Spurs next season.
Assou-Ekotto has made 15 appearances for Tottenham this season in an injury-hit campaign.
