Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio is reportedly in London with a view to securing a deal for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The Denmark international will see his contract with Spurs expire at the end of the 2019-20 campaign and is widely expected to leave the Premier League club in search of pastures new.
Should Eriksen sign a pre-contract with Inter then he would join Antonio Conte's side on a free transfer at the end of the season.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Ausilio is currently in the English capital attempting to agree a deal with Jose Mourinho's side in the region of £12m to allow for a January switch.
The report claims that Spurs are looking for closer to £18m, though, suggesting that the two clubs will have to meet somewhere in the middle to allow for a mid-season move.
Despite the speculation surrounding his future, the 27-year-old has been a regular for Tottenham this season and played the full 90 minutes against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.
