Aaron Lennon 'will only leave Tottenham Hotspur for Everton'

Aaron Lennon reportedly tells Tottenham Hotspur that he will only leave the club before tomorrow's transfer deadline if Everton come in for him.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon has reportedly told the club that he will run down his contract unless they sanction a move to Everton.

The 28-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan on Merseyside, and is believed to be interested in returning to Goodison Park permanently.

According to The Mirror, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is holding out for a £9m offer, but if Everton do not come in for him, Lennon is prepared to see out the final year of his contract at White Hart Lane.

Aston Villa have also been linked with a move for the Englishman.
