Real Madrid to announce signing of Gareth Bale today?

Real Madrid are reportedly planning to announce the arrival of Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur today.

Real Madrid are reportedly planning to announce the capture of Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale today.

There had been suggestions that the Spanish giants could lose out on their target, who is expected to become the most expensive player in football history if a reported £86m deal goes through.

It is believed that Spurs are considering an offer from another club, but it is understood that Bale's switch to the Bernabeu is still on.

Spanish newspaper Marca had claimed that Madrid could announce Bale's arrival today, with plans to unveil the prolific Welshman at the Bernabeu on Wednesday.

Reports have claimed that Bale will leave Spurs for Madrid only, despite speculation of interest from a rival club.
