Newcastle United end interest in Saido Berahino?

Newcastle United reportedly end their interest in West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino after seeing a £21m bid rejected.

Newcastle United have reportedly ended their interest in bringing Saido Berahino to the club from West Bromwich Albion this month.

The Magpies, who have already spent heavily during the January transfer window, are understood to have had a £21m bid rejected for the striker.

Speculation has continued to link the 22-year-old with a move on deadline day, but BBC Sport reports that Newcastle have not entertained the idea of increasing their offer.

The likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City have also been linked with the England Under-21 international, although the Baggies are expecting him to stay at the club.

Berahino has not started a Premier League match for West Brom since October, but did score twice in a 2-2 FA Cup draw with Peterborough United on Saturday.
