Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp believes that Gareth Bale has probably been dreaming of a move to Real Madrid.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp believes that Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale is probably dreaming of a move to Real Madrid.

Head coach of the Spanish giants Carlo Ancelotti revealed today that talks are ongoing with Spurs over a potential world record transfer for the prolific winger.

"He's been fantastic and behind [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo he's the best player in the world," Redknapp said in a press conference. "You can't ignore interest from Real Madrid and he's probably dreamed of that as a little boy.

"It could happen but I'm not sure. If he goes there he would be a great success. He's proved he can do it regularly every year and he can do everything, there's nothing he can't do, he's an amazing player."

Redknapp coached Bale during his four-year managerial stint at White Hart Lane.
