Federico Fazio is reportedly on the verge of swapping Sevilla for Tottenham Hotspur.
The Argentine defender was recently appointed the Spanish club's new skipper following the departure of Ivan Rakitic to Barcelona.
However, it is understood that Spurs have activated the centre-back's release clause, which is believed to stand in the region of £8m.
According to talkSPORT, an announcement from both clubs is imminent.
Sevilla boss Unai Emery appeared to confirm Fazio's departure on Friday.
