Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly dropped out of the race to sign Wilfried Zaha, leaving Manchester United in pole position to acquire the Crystal Palace winger.
Spurs had been linked with a move for the England international, who has been valued at £20m by the Eagles.
Lillywhites chairman Daniel Levy was apparently poised to open negotiations with a £7m offer, but will no longer make an approach for the highly-rated 20-year-old.
According to The Telegraph, Levy believes that United have already privately secured a deal for the player, who had previously interested Manchester City and Arsenal.
Palace have acknowledged that Zaha is almost certain to leave Selhurst Park, but are hoping to keep him until the summer as they push for promotion from the Championship.
