Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly held talks with Juventus over a potential deal to sign American international Weston McKennie.
Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to recruit a central midfielder before the August 31 deadline and has identified the 22-year-old as one of his primary targets.
According to the Independent, Tottenham have held talks with Juve, who are believed to value McKennie at around £40m.
The report also states that a potential swap deal involving Tanguy Ndombele could be on the cards if all parties were to come to an agreement.
Tottenham's managing director Fabio Paratici, who previously worked at Juventus, still has a good relationship with the club and it was the Italian himself who was key to signing McKennie from Schalke 04 in August 2020.
McKennie, who has 24 international caps for the USA, made 46 club appearances across all competitions last season, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
