Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly tabled a contract which would double Christian Eriksen's wages to £200,000 a week in an attempt to prevent the midfielder from leaving this month.
The Dane, who only has one year left on his contract, has been linked with a move away this summer after failing to strike fresh terms with Spurs.
Real Madrid have kept an eye on Eriksen throughout the summer, while Manchester United launched a late attempt to sign the midfielder, only to abandon the deal once it became clear that the Bernabeu was his preferred destination.
According to the Daily Mail, Spurs will propose elevating Eriksen's current wage of £80,000 a week to £200,000 a week.
However, such an offer may make no difference, with the 27-year-old adamant that money will not factor in the final decision regarding his future.
Eriksen featured from the bench for Spurs over the weekend as Mauricio Pochettino's side left it late to beat Aston Villa 3-1.
