Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing their former academy product Dennis Cirkin from Sunderland.
Cirkin joined Sunderland for an undisclosed fee in August 2021 after failing to make a single appearance for the Tottenham first team.
The left-back featured in 41 games for Sunderland in all competitions last season, helping his side win promotion to the Championship via the playoffs.
Cirkin has gone on to make eight appearances in the second tier this term, and his performances have caught the attention of his former club.
According to The Sun, Tottenham are considering a move for the 20-year-old, who is under contract with Sunderland until June 2024.
The report indicates that Spurs will continue to monitor Cirkin's progress ahead of the January transfer window, where they could potentially make a bid to bring him back to North London.
After missing four games due to an injury, Cirkin returned to Sunderland's matchay squad for Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Swansea City.
