Edwin van der Sar: 'Christian Eriksen would improve Tottenham Hotspur'

Ajax marketing director Edwin van der Sar believes that midfielder Christian Eriksen would become a "great player" if he completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Ajax marketing director Edwin van der Sar has admitted that he does not want midfielder Christian Eriksen to leave the club.

The Denmark international has been strongly linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, and despite wanting to keep him at Ajax, Van der Sar believes that he would impress at White Hart Lane.

The 42-year-old told reporters: "He's a very good player and I would be sorry if he were to leave us.

"He has great quality, he is two-footed, is very quick, gives you a lot of pace on the ball and his corners and free kicks are very good, so I'm sure that if he went to Tottenham, he would be a great player there."

The 21-year-old has scored 32 goals in 161 appearances for Ajax.
