Stoke City are reportedly poised to announce the appointment of Gary Rowett as the club's new manager.
The Potters have moved swiftly to recruit a new leader after sacking Paul Lambert following the club's relegation from the Premier League.
Derby County, where Rowett currently coaches, have confirmed that an official approach from Stoke was made and that the manager asked permission to speak to the newly-demoted Championship outfit.
According to Sky Sports News, the Potters have agreed to pay the £1.8m compensation fee and have agreed terms with the 44-year-old, whose Rams team stumbled in the Championship playoff semi-finals.
An announcement is expected to be made on Tuesday.
