Stoke City defender Andy Wilkinson has urged teammate Robert Huth to sign a new deal with the club.
The German's future at the Britannia Stadium is in doubt as he nears the final year of his current deal.
Wilkinson believes that the 27-year-old could go on to be a Potters legend if he puts pen to paper on fresh terms.
"I've told him to get his contract signed," Wilkinson told The Sentinel. "He can stay here and be a legend - if he's not already.
"He's a top-class player. Even in training, if there's a 50-50, he's the one person you wouldn't want to go in with – not that I'd pull out.
"From a fans' point of view, he is everything Stoke City is."
Huth joined the club from Middlesbrough in 2009 for £5m.
