Wes Brown: 'We've managed to get back on track'

Sunderland defender Wes Brown believes that his side have managed to restore their confidence in their past two games following their 8-0 hammering against Southampton.

Sunderland defender Wes Brown feels that his side are getting their season back on track following their humiliating defeat to Southampton in October.

The Black Cats were hammered 8-0 at St Mary's Stadium, which equalled their record defeat, as they committed several defensive errors that carried over into their next match against Arsenal.

However, Gus Poyet's side have since defeated Crystal Palace and drawn with Everton to move out of the relegation zone ahead of their clash with Leicester City after the international break.

Brown told the club's official website: "We have drawn quite a few games where we could have done a little better, but that is how it is and we know it isn't a bad start.

"It was a little bit difficult after the Southampton game but we have managed to get there and now we need to build on two positive performances."

He added: "Leicester is a good game to have straight after the international break to get back on track. They are a good team and they have beaten some good teams this season so they will be up for the fight.

"We have got to take the last two games into the match and show what we can do with the right determination to get the right result."

Sunderland are 14th in the Premier League after 11 games this season.
