Sunderland's Sebastian Larsson eyeing Everton victory

Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson believes that his side can use their recent success against Everton as a blueprint to defeat the Toffees on Sunday.

Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson feels that his side will be able to look at their season in a positive light going into the international break if they defeat Everton.

The Black Cats can move up the Premier League table into 10th place with a victory over the Toffees as they search for back-to-back wins in the top flight after beating Crystal Palace on Monday.

He told the club's official website: "I think if we win we can look at it as a good start to the season, especially with it coming before an international break because it is always nice to get a good result going into one.

"Whenever you play Everton it is a tough game, but we have had some success against them lately.

"They were kind of a bogey team for us but during the last couple of seasons we have done okay, so touch wood we can put in another good performance and get the three points."

Gus Poyet's side face Everton in their Premier League clash at the Stadium of Light later today.
